When I was young and as a result so immature
I pictured myself being like you in my own future
I admired your free thought getting sensitivities stirred
The manner of your axiom seemed so certain and sure
I saw my struggles in your music and consequently I was sold
My soul provoked to be painfully blunt and poetically bold
I copied the intricacies of your madness fitting your mold
Persuaded the earth was as tainted as your distrust told
When I began to think for myself, saw past the contradictions
That you were indoctrinated by hate and fearful restrictions
The fact of your deep pain was masked by skepticism
Enslaved to a broken heart you were inhumanely heartless
Like an annoying baby throwing a tantrum so frustrated
like you thought life could give your money back rebated
I found that the wounds of my life would be sustaining
Could give me strength, embitter me make me or break me
I guess I just couldn’t see why I should be angry at circumstances
Or against anything out of my control like I was the master
Or at every person who lacked responses or answers
Finally I realized I can’t waste my life getting madder
You were alone and miserable without a real friend
Because you could not take the risk of love and you met your end
You were captured in nothing but regret your whole life spent

I wanted to be the next you I’ve grown out of needing you

When I was older with trust in my own experiences
I detached myself willfully from the mad and delirious
I won't lean on the weak immature ungrown unserious
I stand on the strength and wisdom of God's beneficence
Cursing the cycles you created denying their consequences
As if you could define the universe by your good intentions
Writing the cosmos to convenience your essential existence
I knew I was ready for manhood when I ditched the god-complexes
Found my soul lifted out of a similar gloom egocentricism
I discovered a truth that resided outside my personal impression
I began to tune my heart to harmonize with the conception
I a piece of a magnificent symphonic divine composition
You, however, subjective subservience to your self sense
Bear the shameful burden of your incapacity for success
I resistance train against deception, your stuck in depression
