She played social network games sometimes it was obscene
Being up to date with text messages and fashion magazines
Like all that mattered was getting a teenage boys consideration
So she busied her mind without a moment of meditation
Cause Zoe was convinced she was different lonely and solitary
Nobody could manage to comprehend it was just too scary

Unclean trash apartment empty beer bottles and messy plates
Holed up in her guest room she much preferred to isolate

Both her parents often preferred a one night stand in scope

Zoe wore dark clothes dyed her hair black didn't care for anything

It didn't seem important enough to protest Zoe was listless

Her father changed jobs, moved away, strangely Zoe missed him
Confused by a tension of inner emotional contradiction

Taught Zoe to sketch, and encourage Zoe's poetic recitations
As Zoe grew in school she enjoyed her peers for entertainment

With the inner and gentle beckoning of the loving divine
She knew God placed Sophie in his providential design
And Sister Grace awakened in Zoe a new holy amazing desire
To cherish every moment to live her life completely Alive
